Thank you for your interest in being part of Independent Art Market. We are no longer accepting applications for our 2007 holiday show. We did recieve a record number of applications this year, and we thank every one who expressed interest in being a part of this event. All artists will be notified no later than October 15, 2007. The instructions below are for reference purposes only.

Instructions

Those who prefer to print out this online form and mail it to us via US Post may do so.

Submit 3-5 SAMPLES of current work in ONE of the following formats:

Digital JPEG files attached to the online application.
Photos (5x7 prints), or slides (35mm, no glass mount) to:

    Saint Louis, MO 63116.

When sending photos or slides please also include a self-addressed stamped envelope for the return of materials.

If you have difficulty with the online form, and wish to submit JPEG files, then send an e-mail to apply@independentartmarket.org. Please, have the subject of your e-mail read "[IAM Application] December 2007", include all the information requested in the online application, and attach your images to the e-mail.

Send us your application fee of $25.00. This should accompany all submissions, electronic or otherwise, and be payable to "Independent Art Market." Include this fee when sending images in order for artwork to be considered.

Applications and images should be postmarked by October 1st.
SORRY, NO LATE APPLICATIONS.

Chosen artists will be notified by October 15. Once chosen, an entry fee of $75.00 will be required to help pay for publicity for the event (posters to be posted all over the St. Louis region, postcards for artist's client lists, press releases sent to major publications, website postings, etc.), the reservation of Shaw's Gallery, hanging the show, and other incidental costs related to setup. Independent Art Market will also keep ten percent (10%) of all gross sales to cover packaging (bags, boxes, packing materials) for purchased artwork, credit card fees, taxes and any other incidental costs related to the sales of items. Previous events were mentioned in the RFT, Playback, The Post Dispatch, Sauce Magazine, St. Louis Magazine and we were invited to make an appearance on KDHX's, "The Wire."
